 Similar to a silver necklace, but actually the chain that adjusts window blinds in the hospital consult room where you notice every detail while waiting to find out if surgery went ok for your loved one. Took a bit of manipulation to control the light for an image of the device that controls the light. Camera phone once again was the best camera because it is the one with me. Happily, the surgery had no complications, making this image additionally special to me by context. Of course, the image needs to stand on its own, and DPC voters won't know the back-story until later. But I'm satisfied to consider this my best image so far this year, regardless of any score.

I am left oddly uncomfortable by the title, and that makes the whole thing better. (Even the border, which people will no doubt comment upon, as if it was the worst idea since crystal pepsi.)
