The Wellsville Mountains again. These must be my favorite mountains; I see them when I leave my house every morning. When they are doing lovely things, it is very difficult to not grab the camera instead of go to work.

I'll admit to doing quite a lot of Photoshop to this photo. The trees weren't so yellow in the photo, though they seemed to be in real life. I exposed for an average between sky and mountains and trees, so nothing was as dynamic as it was in real life. I also darkened it a bit. Since I'm colorblind and without my wife, I have no idea if my colors are correct after applying things like contrast, which always does weird things to colors. But I like it.

If this isn't a classic calendar shot then nothing is.
Congrats on a top twenty finsh!

This looks like a dsidwell shot, but I could easily be wrong.
Lovely shot! Excellent lighting and composition, this should be in the top 5 of this challenge, stunning.

There is way too much sky and is very uninteresting. The colors are way too blown out.

Composition is great, foreground is a little dark, very nice work.

I loved the color in this shot. The huge expanse of sky makes even the mountains look surmountable - gives an overall feeling of hope and tranquility. Nice job!

Very good use of negative space, I like this photo. It could be useful for many printed materials like business cards.

Good use of negative space. I think it works. 8

The colors are absolutely wonderful. Too much negative space for my tastes, however. 6

Maybe a little too much blue on top IMO. Love the green of the trees and the white stripes in the mountains. Makes me want to visit.

I like the big blue sky and the balance between the elements.

Beautiful, crisp, deeply saturated - great use of negative space (which I am usually tired of in this type of use). 9.

By the scoring so far, I think my shot may medal in this challenge. However, if it loses to this one I won't be surprised in the least. Beautiful. The only fault I have with it is the uneven sky from the (I'm guessing here) wide-angle lens and polarizer. With my 17-40 and the polarizer I sometimes play with the individual colour saturation in the RAW conversion to minimise this. Nevertheless, awesome. 10.

Excellent use of negative space giving the mountains a more "groudned" feel linking htem beautifully with the trees at earth level. Excellent exposure imo, perhaps a little too sharp on the mountains given their distance. Lovely.

Image critique: simply refreshing and beautifully composed. Very well shot with rich colour and dynamism. You'll be up at the top with this.

Out-of-challenge appeal: max - in my faves now.

Somehow reminds me of the misty mountains in Lord of the rings. Is this perhaps New Zealand? Anyway love the shot but the sky is a bit too blue for my taste.

Too much negative space that doesn't seem to serve a purpose and you have some wierd color banding in your sky...

A bit too much sky for my taste. Possible you could have cropped out a good bit of that sky and maybe utilized the rule of thirds. Looks great though when I scroll down some :-) great shot!
