This is one of the dresses I bought from Wisteria lane The same shop that I took my 'friends' image in.
I want to start collecting antique looking dresses so my clients can use them in photo shoots.
The whole week during the shooting for this challenge it was cloudy and overcast. I've used this window quite often in many of my challenges, it's the dining room where beautiful light shines through in the afternoon, except for this week there was no beautiful light shining through. .. sigh! Problem solved easily, I pulled my soft box out and set it outside the window. I tried it first with the shutters pointing downwards, but it just didn't look attractive, I then rotated them upwards, and I rather liked the look. These shutters came in quite handy at the right time, we recently purchased them, we had wooden blinds there before, but a lot thinner, these blinds are wider, perfect for the effect that I wanted to achieve.
Mark was very clever in spotting that I must of used artifical light. I tried to get a 'natural raking light' whilst I went out and about, but like I said because it was so cloudy it was very hard to get any shadows casting.
