It reminds me of work by Chuck Close. I think it is fantastic. Congratulations.

497 separate images man!! I'm thinking sc are kicking themselves they didn't place a limit on the images that were to be used. I really don't know how you make time or you get the time to create these images, anyway Kudo's to you and congratulations on the blue.

They're not 497 different images, right? The software that I played with to make a mosaic for me (didn't know it was legal to use software to put it all together, so did mine by hand... *heavy sigh*), Neat, you just upload the base photo you want, then upload as many images you want to use for the "fill".

Go to the potty, come back, and it's all done for you.

I did use a programme to put the basic image together.
I did use a source image of my own.
I did use 497 different images used multiple times in the cells.
I did manually change tge placement of some of the images.
I did do further editing.
It was not entirly the programme that created this piece.

I wasn't dissing your image... or your efforts, Judi!

I was trying to tell Anita how she could make her own...

This is gorgeous, Judi!

Thanks Lydia. :) no offence taken. I know it is easy to let programmes do the work but I just wanted people to know there was a lot more involved in the process. Each of the cell images were edited prior to loading them into the programme to give the polished look.

Print very large. Hang in upscale gallery. Attach seven figure price tag. Enjoy.

Thanks for posting the large version. Very impressive.

Congratulations, Judi. I love this so much! (My sympathies to SC for all the validation images they'll have to wade through!)

Congratulations, Judi!

Just look at how far your score is ahead of the pack!

If you don't mind, would you tell us how you did this?

Is it a program that I can buy?

I wrote a comment a little earlier but had to come back and change it. After I shut my computer down and walked away I found this image was still in my head and it refuses to leave! I think that's what great art does, it stays with you, haunts you, for a long time. Absolutely beautiful piece of work here, I hope it nets you the blue.

There are times that the 1200 pixel dimension does not do an image justice. Never has that been more evident to me than with this image. I suspect this would be interesting to look at spanning eight feet of wall. I expected a range of images in this challenge, but this is on a different spectrum entirely.
