Challenge: Fine Arts: Exhibit IV (Minimal Editing*)

[May. 29th, 2016 10:35:48 PM]

My first entry after the accident. Because of the broken ribs and broken arm I put the camera on a tripod, and then proceeded to keep moving it around anyway. After lots of pain and a few tears I gave up and went through the shots. Thank goodness it was minimal editing!

The problem is this shot sucks almost as badly as the one I was trying when the accident happened! I really have to learn to take better shots if I'm going to bother hurting myself.

But, at least I did it. It had been awhile after the accident before I even touched the camera. So progress has been made.

Fascinating use of very limited colors: black/white/grey world for the various red tones. Framing and tilt take simple elements to a higher level. Art seems to thrive when struggling with limitations. Fitting to have this be your first entry after your accident, requiring pushing past physical (and perhaps attitudinal) limits. This got an 8 from me, so I’m shocked to see it so low in the general ranking. Glad you made the effort so soon.

I like the element of tension - darn thing is gonna fall...

futuristic, tilted, and with vague religious hints- very nice, intended or not.
