Got out of work today to find this waiting for me. It is virtual;y straight from the camera. i adjusted the levels a bit to lighten the shot and then sharpened a little. That was it. Those were the colors. Don't know how if will do. After all I think most are focusing on the humor aspect and not the wonder in amazement. I also accept that it is one of probably 100 sunset shots. But everyone like this still takes my breath away and I have to photograph any and all of them when I have my camera present with me.

Your description of this photo reminded me of things I used to say when I was working in Wisconsin for a summer, years ago. The skies there are so magnificent, and down here in Illinois, I don't get much chance to observe beautiful skies. So when I get the chance like that, I too stop and wonder. I've forgotten how much I enjoy just stopping and being amazed by our skies.

Thanks for the image and the flashback.

One of the things why I like photography so much - I get to see things that I may never lay my eyes on. Great cloudscape photo!

I will post the original later. It is at work so I can't get to it now. but if I remember right the original didn't look much different than this. And I can assure you that in real life it was close to this color, maybe even brighter.

Like in the October Challenge top winners, I love these "exaggerated" landscape images, although you mentioned you didn't do much to it. Great job!

Amazing cloud formation in this shot. I gave this one a 7 because the foreground lacks detail and depth. Overall a good shot.

Just a little oversaturated for my taste, especially in the background. Still a beautiful photo!

This just looks too fake... mostly because of the colors. overphotoshopped perhaps?

love this shot. looks like an impressionist painting. wish there was a half stop more in the landscape, the darkness takes away from the sky as your eye is drawn to the bottom. overall beautiful shot (8)

It is amazing. Gorgeous colors - are they natural or did you saturate them? Looks cool either way. Love the shapes of the clouds. I haven't gotten that far in the voting but you are my first 9. Don't thing I've even given an 8 yet! Congrats. Best of luck to you. :-)
