Hello from the Critique Club
My first impression of this photo is that it is perfect technically. I think the pose is very appealing, and it meets the challenge well. I think what we should talk about, is something else :)
The subject matter needs to be appealing to both men and women, and as you said in the title, it was aimed at the guys :) They answered in droves as you can see in the comments! hehe..
From a female perspective, I'll tell you what I think of the general image, and the feeling I get from it. The girl looks a bit bored and frustrated, as if she's been in that pose forever (it may be the case that this isn't true). Personally it makes me feel bad about myself. She's a very beautiful model, and it's one of those "I wish I looked like that..." Imagine what happens when a photo doesn't make you feel good about yourself? I'm not saying that this would be a feeling from all women, but it is my opinion. I hope it explains a bit why although you had a technically perfect image, why you would have lost some points somewhere.

This is a really well done photo and I don't see how this one deserves to be as low rated as it was. This is a technically flawless photo that has very cliche pose and look. Sorry it didn't do better but this is fine work compared to several photos that finished higher than yours. I hope this hasn't discouraged you, keep up the good work.

I could really see this in FHM or Maxium Mag. Very well done. Perfect focus, lighting and I love the white background. I assume this was done in a studio?
I have to give a 10. Oh ya the picture gets a 10 as well. ;) Love the tatoo. |

| I don't know how this is following the challenge but you shouldn't put pictures like that on the net. I find it very offensive, and you should put more clothing on your subject. |

| I really enjoy this picture. You got the girl to come out very clear, the shadow of her by her feet also makes this picture intrest. ANd the beauty of the girl also makes the picture intresting. Nice Work |

| nice composition, pose (oh bettie!), and lighting. she should have had red lipstick tho (ahem), and maybe some lusciously false eyelashes (a-a-a-HEM). otherwise, fantastic. |

| Nice picture - both technically and from a subject point of view. Lighting is quite good and colour is excellent. It helps that her costume matches her skin / hair. Personally I think it's cropped a little too tightly at the bottom (each of the other sides has at least 1cm) - it's not a big deal though. Good luck on the comments, they should range from "she's great" to "this is soft porn", but I think it's a great cliche shot. |
