| Please don't take this wrong, but it almost looks like some kind of bug or sea creature. If you had played with the colors, you could have passed it off as something other than a flower..For a photo of a dead flower it is very pretty. That was a compliment. Hate to have to explain myself all the time. I really like the inside part of the flower, and wished you had zoomed in on it. It wold make a beautiful photo by itself. As far as what you did photograph, it is well done. Beautiful natural colors, good ighting, nice cropping, good focus, borders look nice and add a finishing touch. A well done nice photo. |

| Brilliant unusual color combination. The texture of the leaves is very attractive. I find the highlights a tad glarey ( small nitpick). Lots of bite on the edge of all blossum bits, great. Nice high key border that accents the image well. Good job. |

| I don't like the white bg. It makes the lighting seem too harsh. The center of the flower also seems oversharpened but maybe it's just all the texture creating an illusion. It's still a decent studio shot though. 7 |

Composition: The red part seems to make the pic a little 'top heavy'. Excellent otherwise.
Technical: Fantastic colour, contrast, lighting and border. Good DOF.
Meets challenge: Yes
Overall impression: At least a top 10 in my book. 9 |

| The overexposure/reflection is distrating. The colours of the petals looks unnatural unless it was deliberate. |
