I dunno, somehow, pulling a brand new home around on the back of a truck - in Alberta in the winter - seems like a big leap of faith to me! I'm not sure where this group was headed but it must have traveled a pretty great distance. I hope it arrived at its final destination okay. There was a third piece to this as well; the other half of the large structure. The way they were sitting at the rest stop, I couldn't fit all three in the frame.
Thanks for the comments and the votes :)

And now the rest of the story....
I found an article in the local newspaper about this move. They hauled the three sections a total of 184 kms, and happily, without incident.

Wow! My first blue! Thanks so much for the comments and the votes.

Congrats on the blue ribbon!

I spent some time in Alberta from November to February in 2003. I have to agree that it would be a bad idea to move a brand new home in Alberta in the winter. In contrast I was surprised to see clear skies and dry roads considering the location and time of year. I seem to remember it being gray and what seemed to be daily accumulations of snow fall. Being from Pennsylvania and having mild winters in comparison is enough to know that a clear day equates to nasty cross winds, then add -40 temperatures and you have a natural disaster all it's own! Some folks who never experienced such conditions wouldn't even be able to imagine what this is.

Great shot and I'm glad you added the sepia tones or I might get a chill from looking at this image!

That is just insane. If my house weren't brick, I'd try that too! And grats on the ribbon :-)

Now that is something you don't see everyday! It was very perceptive of you to see the relevance and the scene to the challenge. Well done. Congrats on the blue.
