It just happened to be that my brother came over with his dog, and I thought awesome, I asked him if I could take photo's of Sheba, and of course he said yes! Kind of glad because I've entered our dog quite a few times already.

First dozen or so votes had me in the fives, I think I received the 3 fours in that lot.... typical mid week voting, then the good people woke up and voted ;).

Great comment from spiritualspatula thanks. I was wondering if anyone would notice the weird colouring, good eye man! I think it happened due to the dodging and burning or maybe the detail extractor I used.

Super sweet to have this happen after my DQ.

Thanks for the nice comments, appreciate them all. Here are some out takes I loved also but there was something about Sheba in the photo that I entered that I just loved.

So glad I asked my brother around this day to do a job for us, he brings Sheba with him all the time when he's working, she's adorable.

Congrats on the yellow, Anita. Beautiful portrait, beautifully lit. I love his expression and the clarity of his eyes.

Absolutely brilliant. I would certainly hire your services if you lived around here and offered pet portrait photos as a service. Congrats on the ribbon for a superb photo.

Appealing dog and super pose and expression. I just love that turned head, the folded back ear, the eyes, and the overall questioning look. Lovely background, too. Congratulations on the ribbon.

Color was a good choice, no matter the vsriations, for warmth. The expression works because it can be the prelude to many things. Congrats on the ribbon.

That ear is just great! Not sure I would have used that backdrop color with that dog, but the image is well done.

Love the pose and edit. Looks like a bit of light could've been used on the right instead of pushing in post, but this is a great, expressive pet shot. The dogs neck photo right seems to be a bit oddly colored, same with the fur on the dog's left front leg. Regardless, this is the best shot in the challenge. Bumped to 9.

Does she know? How could she know. She couldn't know. Or... maybe she's giving me a treat...? No, I think she knows...
