Thanks for everyone's comments and to my DPL team for helping me choose from my three final picks. I was split between this and . A good friend helped with the title. The architecture reminded me of a rib cage. So the alternative title would've been "In The Belly Of The Whale". Cheesy enough? ;)

Shot with in camera b/w processing. There was a shot or two that were very similar to this one that had a slightly better composition but the exposure is why I chose this specific frame.

This is the relatively new NY/NJ path station in downtown(financial district) Manhattan. The adjoining still under construction transportation hub that is being built is beautiful but way off schedule and budget. Can't wait to see that. The project's architect is Santiago Calatrava. I sat there waiting for some interesting candid/funny moment to happen but alas it was not meant to be. Hope to go back again as there are so many angles to photograph from. Perhaps during rush hour.

Some more outtakes...

This is really incredibly good! There's so much going on here and I'm finding myself having to look at it for long. The composition is outstanding! I especially love the diagonal running from bottom left to top right.

Meant to congratulate and comment earlier. This was my top scoring entry. Love the high key exposure and a skewed horizon that make compositional sense. Terrific - kudos!

Heaven can wait, however the teetery people and the expanse of white are worth a stay in purgatory.

welcome to the court of spleen

Empty space is a guilty pleasure of mine. Subtle yet unquestionable lines. So clean, yet here I am being dragged through the gutter to the gate. Let's hope the kid in that stroller provides a sufficient distraction. Very cool, but next time please drag me in landscape.

The high key works very well. obscures and reveals perfectly.
