 My good friend Loretta, submitting herself to my leaf blower.

Lightroom: Basic Contrast and Lighting
In Photoshop:
1) Nik Silver Efex Pro - high structured B&W layer w/ luminosity blend mode
2) Color Efex Pro - Detail Extraction + Tonal Contrast + Curve Adjustment
3) Replicate image and create vignette using multiply blend mode
Lightroom: Final tweaks and export


Thanks for all the positive comments, all. I'm glad this did well, but I wish it had done a little better, if only for what I put the models through. This shot of my dear friend won out over this of a much younger friend...



...and for her sake alone I would have loved it to have ribboned.

I thought about pulling out the leaf blower for this challenge. I might not have been as brutal as you were. Nice shot.

This is incredible looking - surprised it didn't ribbon though there was some stiff competition. You should still be very proud to take such a terrific photo.
