I'm usually a fan of symmetric photos, but I like the way the curves of the tracks bend in the image. Cool shot.

i'd like to see a bit more horizon, so the building weren't cropped off.
04/28/2002 03:55:00 PM
should have cropped it just above the cross over and left out the sky and grass.

bit of a dangerous place for a pic!
The score also reflects your willingness to face danger for art.
04/27/2002 09:32:00 PM
it would've been better if it had been more unsymmetrical
04/27/2002 08:11:00 PM
This is kinda bleak. Is that the "mood" you meant to convey. It is a very nice shot, and the black and white works well.
04/27/2002 08:55:00 AM
great photo...i like the black and white...it adds to the feeling of choice and direction with the tracks
04/26/2002 02:44:00 PM
wish is was slightly more in focus, but at the same time, I like it!
04/25/2002 05:00:00 PM
I like the idea, which track to go down, transitions in life I guess?
04/24/2002 07:09:00 PM
Nice Cropping and I like the B&W effect
04/24/2002 02:14:00 PM
Nice photo, interesting composition.
04/24/2002 12:32:00 PM
Very clear transition, but the lighting feels flat
04/23/2002 08:28:00 PM
Well done, but a bit overexposed in places
04/23/2002 08:25:00 PM
looks a little overexposed. more contrast is needed.
04/23/2002 05:32:00 PM
Nice composition of the rails.
04/23/2002 10:38:00 AM
strong lines here
04/22/2002 09:13:00 PM
okay, good job, black and white works well here, and the transtion is obvious
04/22/2002 08:56:00 PM
This is a fresh idea on "transition." The highlights seem a bit too bright.
04/22/2002 08:33:00 PM
I love railroad shots... especially black and white ones... The only improvement I could suggest in this photo is to darken it up just a tad... give that a try and see if you like the difference it would make. Nice shot!
04/22/2002 07:25:00 PM
nice perspective and focusing, love the black and white, good shot!
04/22/2002 01:28:00 PM
nice perspective.
04/22/2002 12:56:00 PM
me likem train tracks but whats the transition?
04/22/2002 12:44:00 PM
I really like this, the b/w makes it in my opinion
04/22/2002 11:43:00 AM
I like this idea with the black and white - this would make a very nice framed print -
04/22/2002 10:46:00 AM
I would have liked this better if the shot was centerred between the 2 rails in the bottom
04/22/2002 10:14:00 AM
Excellent Idea. Greawt Photo.
04/22/2002 09:44:00 AM
My first impression of this shot was WOW!!!!!
04/22/2002 08:51:00 AM
Love the leading lines and the 'off-centred symmetry' ... theres a contradiction in terms :)
04/22/2002 08:19:00 AM
Great use of perspective.
04/22/2002 08:07:00 AM
if there was a train there this would work..otherwise, the title is the only transition
04/22/2002 07:25:00 AM
Very nicely done. Great idea, great framing. The image works without the title.
04/22/2002 07:14:00 AM
The challenge was transition, not train station! :) Good idea, and nicely executed. Think it might be stronger if you'd just got the tracks and lost the background (i.e., tiled downwards a bit more) but this is still good. Look at it with the top cm cropped off - more mysterious, where do the tracks go kind of fell to it. Just a thought.
04/22/2002 06:22:00 AM
Looks a little light.
04/23/2002 02:00:00 PM
This is pretty good, but I prefer more contrast.
04/22/2002 02:40:00 AM
Good shot, but maybe a little more centered..
04/22/2002 01:10:00 AM
good job. do you think shooting it from a bit lower and cropping out the background would have made it stronger? I love black & white. Good choice. IMO color would have been distracting.
