My bike (well, one of them) and the city where I live. I do most of my photography from the saddle these days. The bicycle gets me to places that are not accessible by car but covers more ground than walking. I have realized that the one thing that sums up what I like about both photography and cycling can be summed up in one word: exploring.

Merging the two pastimes worked nicely once I figured out how to carry a camera on my bike. That Topeak trunk on the back is my camera bag. Don't need the big bag as much now, as I am bought a micro 4/3 as my biking camera and that can carry in as little as a handlebar bag on one of my road bikes.

I expect this entry to perform mid packish. It is good, but probably not the "WOW" shot that this challenge sounds like it is asking for. But it defines me as a photographer and I trust people will recognize that in the scene.

I expect to get some dings and critiques on the presence of the electrical towers. But it is part of the scene and too major an element to remove from a shot I otherwise like.

Wouldn't be a Yo-spiff image if there wasn't a bike in it. Not your best image by far, but the processing is definitely your style.

One of my favorite people on DPC, no surprise to see your bike in your Walrus photo! Looks like it is ready to join you on a fabulous adventure!

Ride on into town. This feels lonely a bit (or maybe just lazy) but I like it:)

I figured it had to be a spiffy shot. :)

So I have mixed feelings on this one. I like it, but yet I'm finding it too static. I really wish there was a person in this, just off to the side, resting, or even partially off the page. My mom was into photography for awhile, and she said to always put a person in the photo, especially landscapes, etc. I thought she was crazy. But I've been seeing what she's said. It just seems like this could have gone from a static, nice shot, to something awesome. 6 as is.

Some beautiful stillness and details in the frame. Can't argue with your style bicycle photography in black and white.

The B&W with the vignette make this feel like and old picture but the new bike and modern building make it feel modern. Interesting portrayal.

You will always be underappreciated, as you are so good, with no big fanfare of an idea needed. But just feel the life in this image. Waiting to continue. Thanks.

Ha! Guessed this one immediately. Clean, crisp, photograph, well composed. And it has a bike. :-) Nicely done.
