I really like this interpretation of transitions and the expression reflected in the mirror! Both of the makeup pictures succeeed very well. :)

Awesome idea for transitions -- and great lighting. Nicely done.
04/28/2002 06:15:00 AM
wish there had been a little more contrast.

good usage of mirror and light. Made more interesting by changing the hues.

black and white does this picture well, good framing

This person looks scared. The light gives it a nice effect.

B / W good choice for this one. I would have liked the eyes brighter.

dumb

Very nice composition. The flash in the eyes is a little disturbing.

I know this transition well. We can't go anywhere without it. I think you have a lovely picture of an equally lovely lady. Your lighting and use of black and white adds to the photo.

The lights in her eyes are distracting, I do how ever like the lighting. If I was her I would be putting the lipstick on in a room with more light. :)

Crisp! I like how the styling of the hair on the front and back of the head makes it look like they are different people.
04/23/2002 05:03:00 PM
Nice lighting and use of the monochrome blue. I think the half-lipsticked lips are a little underexposed, and its hard to see the effect.

Nice use of a mirror here. And since she stopped halfway with the lipstick, I think the stick should be touching her lips, since she's in mid-process...ie- the transition.
04/23/2002 08:57:00 AM
good but i think it'd be more interesting if she was 'caught' applying the lipstick...
04/22/2002 09:16:00 PM
creepy, i'm scared now
04/22/2002 08:48:00 PM
The title combined with the blue tint makes this more scary than it really is. This is a great portrait.
04/22/2002 08:32:00 PM
I like your transition photo but the blue/monochrome tone doesn't allow me to see the variations in the lip colors very well...
04/22/2002 08:18:00 PM
nice lighting
04/22/2002 04:28:00 PM
Interesting monochrome.
04/22/2002 02:24:00 PM
cute, clever idea, and a nice shot, well done.
04/22/2002 01:56:00 PM
nice idea and good overall photo, however the lighting coming from the right could have been less bright.
04/22/2002 12:51:00 PM
Lame
04/22/2002 12:28:00 PM
good composition and good idea.. I'm not much on the color, but hey that's just me.
04/22/2002 08:08:00 AM
i don't get what the transition is
04/22/2002 07:49:00 AM
I like this very much.
04/22/2002 07:23:00 AM
good interpretation - I was going to do this one but couldn't convince my wife :) Like the purple toning - very effective for this theme.
04/22/2002 06:09:00 AM
Good shot but mabe would be better with a more defined transition.
04/25/2002 12:29:00 PM
Great lighting and color! Very nice shot.
04/25/2002 12:25:00 PM
It took me a few minutes to notice that the lipstick was only halfway applied - nicely done
04/23/2002 03:23:00 PM
The picture is um... well ok. I guess it fits the topic but I'm not really crazy about the picture.
04/23/2002 02:16:00 PM
well thought out shot - good lighting
04/22/2002 02:06:00 AM
Nice idea! I didn't find the color filter pleasing. I almost missed the "half" painted lips. IMO full color or black and white would have worked better.
