Challenge: Book Cover (Expert Editing)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Nikon D800
Lens: Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED
Location: Kootenay National Park, BC, Canada
Date: May 25, 2015
Aperture: f/8.0
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/1000 sec
Date Uploaded: May 31, 2015

One photo ... originally processed on my iPad:
- Using Photogene, I cropped original to 3x2 vertical size and ran through their "dramatic" preset; saved
- Made 3 copies of this original, 2 through Glaze, the last one through iColorama

Transferred to the Mac and PSCC:
- Stacked the 3 copies and blended, but I can't remember the exact order. Used "multiply" for one of the layers and applied an oval mask to the centre to keep it lighter than the edges
- Made up title/author and added to the photo
- Flattened, resized, saved for web

That's it!

Liked a lot - the image felt very dramatic to me - I would read this book.

I suppose the Climate Change Thriller will be the genre of the Tens, but it's hard to make rising average temperatures exciting, and Impi practically pulls a muscle trying.

Very intriguing. If this was just an image, I wouldn't care for it at all. As a book cover, it is interesting and unusual and certainly has me wondering what it is about.
Not sure I'm digging the all capital letters in BURN.... I don't quite see the point in that.

One of the few that really looks like a book jacket. :D
