This will tank but I really like its understatement. It makes me think of the movie Lost in Translation where the feeling of hotel-staying (for work) is so effectively communicated.

Many thanks for the kind comments on this image - I'm glad it struck a chord with some of you folks. It means a lot.

Hard to credit the cool reception given this photograph. That anyone who loves photography could fail to love this. You must despair, sometimes? Me, I'd like to confiscate 68 cameras, and revoke their owners' carry permits for life.

I really like the overall softness of this shot, and the lens flare doesn't bother me at all. I like it that it (the lens flare) is hovering over the watch. There's a message there...

I think you got this just right. The feeling of a temporary place in time is what fascinates me. I did something similar in a magic & mystery challenge.

This is still lingering...an absolutely beautiful shot Paul.

The softness of the image works well. I'm debating with myself about whether the lens flare works or not. I like it near the watch. Not as much where it intersects the stem of the lamp.

I think if the watch was sharper, I would vote this much higher.

First vote/photo...I have to stop now and let this one linger.
