This was the most extraordinary find for me. From outside the fence the house looked completely abandoned. Inside meter high grass BUT the inside of the house (without the wall) looked used quite recently. Very spooky.

I chose this PP to contrast the destruction with a colorful "happy" treatment. It looked so bizarre.

The behind-the-scenes images you have shared truly add context to the condition of this structure. The details are fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

I love the addl images as well. i'm always fascinated by the amount of items found in these abandoned homes. Like folks just packed a bag and left. No wonder squatters have taken it over....it came furnished.

Wonderful find...glad you stayed safe. Congrat!

Thanks for sharing the outtakes. Fascinating, and I feel my original comment even more. I wonder, did the occupants flee only as the place collapsed?

Fascinating - makes me think that this may have 'fallen down around their ears'. One of my ribbon picks.

Not a fan of the processing.

Gloriously found, framed and captured. But for me, some of the magic spilled away in your editing. The pastel hues and lack of a true black, take some of the brooding mystery of the subject matter and spill it away into the land of tone mapped blah. Sure you get all the details in the shadows, but you give up so much, including, I expect, the blue ribbon. Still my second favorite, but it could have been the clear winner.
Coming back to praise rather than carp about what isn't there. I truly love the way the eye is lead through the frame. The spiral from the glove, through the bedding across the chair, desk and out into the explosion of destruction and decay is just lovely.

Despite the abandonment, this looks like a set piece on a stage. The presence of past inhabitants is almost tangible. So there's a perky freshness here that's appealing.

Abandened but maybe still being used as a shelter. I like the processing and detail.

Succinctly, this deserves to ribbon. Best of luck.
