This is my 16 year old sons dashboard, out driving with him while he's learning to drive. The car is his, bought with money he has saved since working Saturdays and school holidays since he was 14. I'm very proud and so is he, he loves his car. The bobbly hula girl came with a pair of jocks I had brought him as part of his xmas present. (yes I buy my boys jocks every xmas!!~) And in typical teenage fashion he didn't really give much away when first viewing it, but it was quite something when I saw it had taken pride of place on his dash. so kitsch..(again I'm so proud:))

Introduction to someones life that leaves us asking for more. Nice beginning to a story.

A heady mix, we are being taunted by siren and machine.

I think she was mentioned as a Meatloaf groupie in his autobiography.

Nostalgia at it's best. I remember these dolls from my younger years and it always brought thoughts of a tropical paradise beyond my reach and dreams of one day seeing this in real life. Funny, it still brings back memories but now they are memories of my youth and how I miss that innocent time in life. Nicely done.

this does not seem to be transcending its dashboardness

All I love is here: glorious kitsch, road trips, the documentary mood of black & white, and the askew alignment as if Hunter S Thompson is lolling back in the passenger seat screwing around with someone else's camera. This is irresistibly interesting. Thank you.

Contrast arranged so perfectly when I step back and view it from afar. And contrast in real life as well. Is that a dashboard hula dancer hanging out with a tachometer? Stay fresh. Cool photo.

Love the humor. It's missing something indefinable though. It stays at 6

This is too fabulous, the tilt, the grain, the Gonzo accessories are perfection. You have captured Ubique so well!

Bold, with a delightful title. I'm being trained with your eye for detail.

Brings back memories. In college, the girls would stand on one side of the room, the boys on the other, and we'd sing this song back and forth. Beer was usually involved. In large quantities. This is a great shot. Not as far as classic pretty-pixel photography - in that sense it's kinda eh - but as far as an encapsulated memory (and an old one at that) this rocks.
