The number 13 seem to be considered as a symbol of both luck and bad luck, depending on the superstition. "Friday the 13th" is also an horror flick. As a result, I was a bit confused about the topic of that challenge, so I decided to mix everything into one picture, mainly for fun.

This is how I imagined a four-leaf clover found by a lucky man, who is probably going to realize very soon that he is not that lucky, since he arrived next to a killer burying his victims in a strange way. Of course, the resulting image can be a bit confusing, because of the different ideas it blends together; it still was an interesting exercise. The most challenging part was to shoot the actual victims: it was not possible to simply stand still in front of the camera and mirror the photo vertically, because the legs and feet positions would have been all wrong. So I had to take these photos lying on the ground, with the camera shooting from above, which can be difficult when you are alone at home: start the camera timer, run downstairs half-naked, tie your feet and hands, then crawl on the floor into the good position... fun stuff!

Thanks a lot for the kind votes and comments, much appreciated.

Superb job on the image and ribbon. Tenth ribbon in a row and fourth blue. An impressive streak.

I think you should video record your shoots so we could really get a "behind the scenes look". Thanks for the descriptions.

Love the description of your setup esp the self-modelling part...I also hit the timer, scamper into place and try to get the shot before seeing if I succeeded!

Oh and of course congrats yet again on the blue :-)

With your work one can hardly get over one's astonishment.
Congrats on another blue ribbon, this is really awesome.
I'd rather go for the lucky version of Friday 13th though ;-)

You know what's weird here, Christophe? It LOOKS a lot like you're burying effigies of Samantha Tran :-) I'm sure that's not what you had in mind, but... Beautifully constructed, as usual, although (uncharacteristically for your work) I'm having trouble decoding the message...
