I know I've entered a similar shot for another challenge (sorry about that) but I just loved this scene. It's a place that is near and dear to my heart, has had a huge influence in my life and which I will, one day, be proud to call 'home'.

FYI everyone, I entered this shot long before I was aware of the results of the Square Crop challenge. I'd placed several shots from that challenge ahead of mine so the Blue came as somewhat of a surprise.

I didn't notice any major score variation while both images were still in voting. What I did notice, however, was an immediate and consistent drop in score once the results of the Square Crop challenge were known. I found that rather petty.

Often, people from DPC get together to shoot and I've seen several instances of extremely similar images entered over the years. Wouldn't it be a shame if this turned out to be someone else's image that you're whacking 2's, 3's and 4's onto.
