When I saw the thumbnail, I thought toothpicks....

Nice detail and swirl going on there. I wouldn't have guessed cocktail sticks.

This is very "tactile" looking. It seems like something worth touching, just to see what it feels like.

I was trying to figure out just what they were ... if you can get them to arrange themselves according to the Fibonacci Series you could make a pseudo-sunflower or -daisy.

For a minute there, I thought you were shooting a different kind of pine cone!
Nice pattern shot.

The first thing that came to my mind was...that's a lot of cocktails to make! I like the lighting but I would like to see a litlle more dof. It might me hard to do without focus stacking.

You know, I did this with toothpicks once. I ended up with a piece of fine sandpaper, smoothing the point of each toothpick, one at a time. The fuzzy, splintered details kill me. I need brain therapy!
