Poor Riley was neutered yesterday. To show some solidarity I dug up a larger cone Biscuit has had to wear, and I put it on for a few portraits. I was happy to be taking that thing off at the end of the shoot.

Post challenge: thanks for the comments. Riley gets his stitches out on Saturday, and, happily, we can take the cone off him and he can go back to sticking his nose in everything. Hooray.

This cracks me up every time I've come back to look at it, Mark.

I've done it several times.

I've only just now realized that I've never commented on it. *blush*

I'm ashamed.

But, not as ashamed as if I'd had to wear the Cone of Shame.

Kudos to you. :D

Such a fabulous portrait. The light, the tones, the concept, and the exressions. Just terrific. The title just ties it all together perfectly :)

Great idea Mark! It looks like Riley still loves you: who knows, he may even appreciates your solidarity :) I hope everything went well with the stitches, so that you can both enjoy the much deserved ribbon happily.

Phew, I thought for sure that your title was going to be "We resolve to stop licking where we shouldn't."

Creative idea, and well presented. There's some issues that resulted from cloning something out of the background, but I didn't immediately notice them. The more noticeable ones are behind the pup, but there's also some residuals left to the right of your neck. Chairrail molding perhaps? Though, there's a little something extra on the pup's side.
