Challenge: Break the Rules (Advanced Editing VII*)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5
Date: Dec 21, 2014
Date Uploaded: Dec 25, 2014

What a nice surprise! I didn't expect to wake up to this with all the great shots in this challenge. Steve, the rule I broke was:
use ANY editing technique to create new image area, objects or features (such as lens flare or motion) that didn't already exist in your original capture(s).
I added a thin layer of fog using the Nik filter to soften things up a bit.

Gorgeous tones - love the wintery whites and the deep blue. Can't guess on the broken rule unless you introduced the lens distortion (which I would prefer to have corrected).

Was the sky partially rendered in photoshop and mixed with the real sky?

Surprisingly intimate, timelessly calm despite a looming sky.

Maybe the sky has been worked on/added. I like the shadow in the left corner.

Has a very cool IR look to it. 8 that would have been higher without the shadow in the bottom left.

Looks like another aberration image, lovely light, just guessing you may of removed a large component in this photo.

Striking, and quite cold! As for the rule broken.... hmmm.... maybe replaced the sky? Nah, it's too well integrated. Not sure what rule you broke!
