A 4-yr-old son of the legendary saddlebronc, Grated Coconut, showing that he's inherited more than his sire's white stockings and great manners! This is also the bronc in Hung Up.

Despite all the drama - this luckless cowboy not only didn't make the 8 seconds but also lost his hat, crash vest, and a boot in the process - he came out unscathed except for some minor scrapes from being partly dragged while hung up. Not once did this young stallion ever pop a dirty kick at him while he was on the ground.

pp:shot RAW, crop, brightness/contrast, vibrance/saturation, dodge, burn, some blur, minor cloning, resize, sharpen, save for web

Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking when I write comments. I guess I thought too much effort was made to separate the horse from the background, but for what you were trying to achieve (if that), it's quite tastefully and craftfully done. Carry on!

Great timing to capture peak of the bucking motion and the instant of first reactions of the people. Rodeos provide lots of light, allowing stopping the action with shutter speed instead of flash. Looks like you may have been blessed with just enough overcast sky to escape the excessively harsh shadows that often come along with this setting.

What a moment, I would prefer more black but that's a small mattter of choice I guess.

8 from me (earlier) . Nicely captured! Could use a bit more contrast on my monitor.

Excellent timing, and wonderful restraint on the processing - the tones on the horse are gorgeous. Time (and horse) suspended.
