Initial thoughts
Beautiful color and contrast, meets the challenge, could be a bit sharper
Composition/ Content
Very nice composition, I really like your lighting. As I mentioned during the challenge, I would like to see what this looks like with the petal slightly turned either right or left. I don't know if you tried that during shooting. The cream on the petal is near perfect.
Background
I don't know how you got your background and cream such a pristine white color, excellent job.
Camera Work - Technical
Focus seems good and contrast is excellent for the difference in dark and white you have here. The focus does seem as if it could be just a bit sharper but I think that is more processing. Your white balance once again is awesome.
Digital Processing - Technical
A couple of things here that I think could have taken your shot "over the top".(Not that a top ten is anything to sneeze at!!!) First, like another commenter, I think the border is a bit much. I think a 6 pixel black border would have made the whites whiter and the reds brighter. (I sound like a laundry detergent commercial!) The other thing is even more important. The shot is only 66 kb of the 150 kb allowed in file size. I truly believe that the increase in file size would have really sharpened this up. Both of these changes may have been enough to move you up into ribbon contention.
Fits The Challenge
Definitely fits the challenge well.
My Opinion On The Photo
I think that it is a really nice shot and it meets the challenge well but could have been improved a little to finish even higher than it did. Good job, and keep up the good work.

Very pretty. The colours are stunning. The symbolisim of this strikes me as being similar to this photo from a challenge a long time ago:

I reiterate what I said about that one... the symbolism seems sexual, like the Hindu shiva linga. It's very small in size, but that makes the rose petal seem 1:1. I'm giving this 10!

| I like this a lot, however it may have been better a little off center and with a black border. It would also have been a lot sharper if you used more than the 66kb of the 150kb file size allowed. |

| Nice clean whites, the border is a good addition that helps support the red of the petal. It looks like there is some good detail in the petal, but I wish the photo was larger so I could see some more of that detail. |

| Beautiful colors. I like how the white droplet "anchors" the bottom of the petal in the frame. That makes it seem very stable. Ummm, does the title mean "Rose Milk?" Obviously doesn't affect the score, I am just wondering if i am translating correctly. |
