Yeah... I spent the day by a pond... shooting everything I could see.... reflections... water lilies floating... water falls... bubbles...

You name it. I shot it.

Went and looked at them on the computer. And... Nothing "floated my boat" (sorry! *grin*)

So... I decided to fix dinner and try again tomorrow.

This happened. This is actually what was there... I didn't even adjust the cutting board. Ha! I did flip the knife, because... I'm right-handed and it needed to point at the water.

I like it. I think that there will likely not be anything as "mundane" as this in the challenge... and so... it might stand out.

That usually is the kiss of death a sure low score for me... but... I'm leaving the "artichoke shot" in for now.

Maybe later on in the week, I'll try again and find a masterpiece.

Ha! Who am I kidding... not me, for sure. *grin*

Anyway... the artichoke is left over from yesterday's BW Food shooting... and my family is still gone, so... I ate it all... and that was all... for dinner.

It was amazingly delicious... for someone who really doesn't like any vegetables... or anything else that's healthy. *sigh*

May the best long-exposure ocean shot win! ;)

The more I look at this, the more I see and the more I like it. I think the contrast is good and the lines too.

I wish you hadn't added aka dinner prep. The title was awesome. :)

I'm giving this a 9 now, because I think I'd give it something lower in the week if it's impact fades. But I love the initial impact.

I find it difficult to shoot multiple objects and have them blend together into a cohesive whole. This is an excellent example of something that doesn't necessarily blend, but moves your eye through a picture without losing interest. Many times if your eye moves around, it's because it's distracted. There are few pictures that actually make my eye really roam, search, and want to keep searching more. I probably would have done the shot straight on to the sink, which would have been so incredibly wrong. The wonky angle gives this a tension and the water gives it movement.

I think this is the longest comment I've made in quite awhile, but I'm just surprised how interesting I find this, and how it's staying with me. Nice choices all the way around. -9-
