Congrats on your 5th. Very beautiful picture and nice use of b&w. I scored it 7. Better than I would have scored my own picture (and they are similar )

well captured, 'feel good' image... the black and white is very effective in communicating a strong sense of nostalgia and longing for childhood. a perfect 10

Nice shot...looks a lot like another shot of kids in this challenge, but that could be a coincidence. I'm sure these kids will be happy you took this shot in the years to come.

I almost dismayed when I saw the quality of the School Days photos - and then I saw yours. It has life, it has fun, it has great composition, the tones and contrast are perfect for black and white, it has great expression, it's interesting. It's a perfect 10. Bravo! Thank you for redeeming this particular challenge.

This is one of the best pictures in this challenge....so typical of childhood and those early school days - and as a bonus there are no pencils or school buses in sight. (Take heart in the fact that I really like this despite the fact that its playing the good old 'ohh isn't that cute - automatic ten' card.

Very cute shot! I think it could use just a little more contrast, but I like the subjects and the composition quite well!

Very nice! You've captured some great expressions. The black and white looks a bit cold and blue to me. I'd like to see a bit more warmth. I've found one of the best ways to beef up digital black and white is to adjust the Red in the RGB levels (in PS, choose an adjustment layer, pick levels, and switch from RGB to red and then fiddle).

Hi there again! After realizing that I've left a few comments for b&w photos regarding the bluish cast (and noticing it on my own b&w entry) I took a look at the grayscale bar and realized the greys there have a definite bluish cast so it is obviously the monitor on my laptop! I did my entry on my other computer and it definitely did not look blue) Please disregard my comments regarding this. :-D
