Huge thanks to a friend from my theater group. (our church has a stage. It had theater people who wondered 10 years ago, why don't we use that stage? Since then, there's been a production at least one a year, most of the time twice a year.)

So Kevin saw my photos and said: "if you need anyone to help with any of the funkier photos..."

Well... I don't think he said funky, but some sort of phrase that implied it.

I said: "Are you available tomorrow??"

I don't think I told him at the time that I was going to zip off his head.

But if I did -- I certainly didn't tell him that I was going to be taping black gaffer's tape to his neck in order to do it.

But that's the secret here. Bought a black zipper -- trimmed it right next to the teeth. Filled in the v with black gaffer's tape (they told me it was the photographer's best friend; but I didn't think this is what they meant. I think it was more for taping grids to flashes, etc....).

Anyway, he was an awesome model!

The gaffers tape that I have seems to be a fabric tape, so there's no shine to it -- it's a nice, flat black and worked quite well for this!

You got my highest score, I was hopeing this was legal because it looked toooo real!!! Great Job my friend, humm gaffers tape, is that a theatrical product? My good ol' stand by Duck tape has too much shine for things like this....

had to look at it for awhile to understand what you meant. so you achieved the first thing in photography. "Engage the viewer" hope you make it through the site council. given you the only 10. well done.
