The saddle bronc here is the young stud for Wildhorse Productions, and is a grand- or great-grandson of the legendary bronc, Grated Coconut.

Small wonder Shawn Orr, this stallion's owner, is so proud of him and eager to see what his first crop of foals turns out like!!

Can't remember the cowboy's name, but this was quite scary as not only did he get hung up in the stirrups, but as he came off he also lost his crash vest, hat, almost his shirt, and his boots in the process...but he did walk away with only a few scrapes.

pp: shot RAW, straighten, crop, brightness/contrast, vibrance/saturation, dodge, blur, resize, sharpen, save for web

Oh, now I get it about the training horses; I thought that you were a mere spectator!
I was here one of your 10s

This could score Blue any day. There is nothing to choose and in pure action genre this is hands down a favorite. Sharp.. action frozen. Nice lines emphasizing the drag of gravity to the right yet opposing force of the horse's head to left is great and enhances the tension and you can feel it. Not much disturbance in the background and the BW conversion and post processing helps the main subject/s to come to the fore. Well worked
PS (Edit) Congrats on the HM 5th place!

! fabulous composition. the diagonals, the horse's mane and the chaps' fringes and the tail... and the horse is the darkest, the subject, while the rider and the background men pale out, as it were. great stuff.

"Hung Up" is not what I had in mind. More like "Oh *hit"! Love the mono and all the great details of the capture.

8 from me. Wonderful action shot. The tones could be better... but maybe it's my monitor. I want more blacks.
