Definitely surprised this ended where it did. There were some really nice shots in this one that I thought for sure would be well into the 7s.

This is the stairwell in the parking garage at my workplace. I shot it on a Sunday morning when there was hardly anyone around. Each floor has a lamp that is on a timed motion sensor and because there was no one around, I had to run up from the bottom floor to the eighth floor to turn on the lamps then quickly take my shots before they went out. Not an easy task for an out of shape couch potato like me that's lugging a bunch of camera equipment around...hah.

Here's the outtake that I was going with until a set of trusted eyes convinced me otherwise.

Beautifully handled composition of classic receding pattern. The detail and color are perfect. This is sure to garner a very high rating, and deservedly so. I love the splash of red on the mechanism on the pipe. A dizzying confection.

Gives me vertigo. that's a good thing (for this challenge,anyway)
