This was a last second entry, I was out having fun watching my grandson learn how to ride, this was his first week riding a skate board and he is really getting good fast. The hill he is on was his favorite spot and he challenged himself to start there, ride up the opposite wall and try to get all the way back over the hill he started on. Some of the older kids started helping him and cheering him on and he finally made it and had a everyone cheering. It was a great time. We got home about 9:00 and I rushed to choose an image and get it processed. Glad so many people have enjoyed it!

Note the first part of the description was left over from the first image I had submitted and I just realized I never removed it.

I just love the enlarged shadow of the skates in the foreground and how the light hits the skate wheels perfectly. An excellent image!

Totally engrossing. Composition, shapes, luck, sky, tonality…all coincided to make a great image.

I urge you to reduce the sharpening and skew from the left corners just so slightly so that you you make the horizontal line straight - and then print it large and put it on the wall!
(I'm wondering if this is not one of Anita's temerary kids. A little jewel)

This would of been soooo good, if it was actually a silhouette, but the fact that I can read his t-shirt suggests you may of needed to wait until the sunset a little more.

Funny thing on my ipad it was quite dark, but when I went to check it on my desktop it was a lot lighter.
