 Ugly days... full of rainy mess all week long.

Last afternoon of the challenge I went out... still misting.

So... I gave up on the dream of a gorgeous sky and went for a blown one instead behind this charming old-town style crossing sign... a graphic arts kinda thing.

Just one street over is a fancy new setup... with crossing bars and lights and everything that's not... charming.

I hope you like the simplicity of the image. I know it won't compete with the trains with billowing steam and charming engineers. But, still... I like this for what it is: a shot from the car in the rain with good ole boys slowing down to see if I need help.

Gotta love The South. Such charm and good folks.

I'm a bit torn on this image...I detest photographs with strong white backgrounds. But, I find the rest of this well executed, and the sign with it's age and distress is rather interesting. I'm also smart enough(or at least I like think I am) to realize that a bad background could very easily kill this photo!
