 Arghhh, I even lit a sparkler in my bathroom to get the fire n smoke for the gun on this... Sure glad the hubby wasn't home!!!!

Had NO intention of this being an in my face shot, was working on it when my buddy came over and he said grab the crop tool and do a tight crop.... OMG Then the smoke sucked big time, so I spent the next few hours working on making a sparkler smoke look like gun smoke... Looked just fine from a distance with all the noise n gunk on it... sigh

So now I've got edits of my face all over DPC... No I am not in love with me, I just can Never get anyone to stand in front of my glass!
You know how much your relatives love you when they won't drive out to the boon-docks so you can shoot them!!! I've got some of the coolest things (back ground wise) to shoot, old cabins, and old grist mill, a real old blacksmith shop.
The hubs who has a cool face to do stuff with, he gets miffed about 2 1/2 mins into a shoot.

Oh dragging this story on, my buddy also said I was gonna get slammed because of my gun. Well I can Assure you I have NEVER shot a living creature, couldn't do it. But I do kill Balloons... I love killing balloons!!!

I love all the comments! Thank you guys, sitting at a solid 7.0 3 hours before the close. It's been as high as an 8 and as low as a 6.5 wild coaster ride!

Regardless how this finishes I really love it, IMHO it's the best edit I've ever done and maybe ever will.. LOL

A belated congrats on the 4th place finish. Very well done portrait - love the smoke coming out of the barrel of the gun (reading your notes I just nod my head at what we photographers do to get the look right;-) ) The look is very convincing of a 'don't mess with me, get off my farm!'. Very much has the feel of a scene from an old Western movie.

i loved reading your photographers comments .. its the same for me too .. no-one wants to have their photo taken .. and certainly never pose .. lucky i have a dog .. !!
