I loved this shot when I first saw it. The way that the branches form a natural border around the mountain is very pleasing. Without breaking your neck, having a little higher vantage point to include more mountain and less lower branches would have shown us more of the majestic beauty of the mountain. You have enough color and interest in the branches that they aren't just clutter, they are something to look at as well. You have really captured a special place that not many people get to see. You have me wanting to go to the mountains. I'd like to see a reshoot with less lower branches, more mountain and a little less grain in the sky. Good job!

Beautiful framing to photo. Don't suppose the tree grew together and made a complete circle? Didn't think so. Coldn't be that lucky. Love looking at the mountain through the trees. I might have centered the mountain myself, taking a step or two to the right. Still a wonderful photo. Deserves this 8.

Good framing job. I like it. Nice contrast of colours. Jacko.

This photograph certainly doesn't need a border.. the natural frame is stunning. The mountain in the background is also very beautiful. The strange thing is that the colours are a bit dull.... A beautiful photograph nonetheless! Congratulations 8 -Annida

the framing of the mounting with the trees is incredible and makes this and outstanding and impressive view.

A pleasnt image to behold. I love the encircling sweep of the branches around the frame. An elegant touch. The detail in the conifers is also appreciated. Often these photos are just foreground silhouettes. The idea of lots of sky to express freedom/openess,etc definetely comes across here. Although it may not have been possible I personally would have liked a little more mountain top plus a few more bolder clouds to glide across the heavens. A good nature shot overall.

Are you serious! You stood on your deck and photographed this? I love the way the trees are fraiming the mountain (it is Rainier, right?) The clouds in the sky are perfect.

I hope you had to pay extra for that view!! Really nice shot and great framing.

Like looking out a window. Nice depth of focus, but would different lighting (time of day) would provide more contrast on the mountain in the background?

extraordinary.

Jealousy rears it's ugly head, a "1". Just kidding. Great view and just enough light on the branches in the lower half of the picture to seperate it from another ho-hum beautiful landscape shot

to bad the mountain was'nt higher in the picture......damn.

Well framed shot of the mountain..the drifting clouds on the right help to balance the picture. I wonder if a tighter crop from the top would make it better? There is a lot of sky showing which diminishes the size of the mountain..just my thoughts.

Great picture. The framing of the trees is super. The clearity is good, can almost count the pine neddles.

I like your yse of the trees to frame the subject which would be more visable if you remove those two trees in the front cinter, just kiding. But in my opinion this perspective could use some interesting cloud formations to captivate interest.

great composition. i like the way you framed the mountain with the trees.

This is a great shot... I only would have prefered a more interesting sky.

this could be in a scene in The Lord of the Rings films.like the peeping thru a keyhole into another realm feel it has.

I'm jealous of your deck - what a lovely view. The framing of the trees is very good. You could have cropped some of the top of the image perhaps - although I'm not sure I can find a good height to stop at. The trees in the foreground are a little dark, but only a little. Finally, if you plan on making a print I think there are filters which could smooth the sky out a little. Still a great photo though.

Wow I wish I had a view like this from my place. I like how you used the trees to frame the mountain possibly a bit too much woods on the bottom, but still cool effect.8.
