this is wonderful! Of course the composition and lighting are amazing but so too is what this X-Pro-1 can do!

Minimal does not slow you down. I wonder if you had your in camera processing settings specific for this image or just your normal street settings. I love the high contrast image, small detail in the hair and purse, and the tilt of the head. (p.s., I picked up an x100s to carry around. Now we will see if I can do anything worthwhile with it). Nice job in making Minimal look easy.

Congrats on the blue, John. I share Vesner's observation in that your images usually have a more intimate element to them, while I associate Nixter's images with this high contrast mystery. Regardless, I adore the work of both you geniuses :)

Beautiful interplay of light and dark, this person coming down a narrow street, furthered narrowed by shadows, seems to be threading a needle. That detail is still visible in the shadowed areas is a further treat.

Way above my average for this challenge. Assuming this is jagar. There's a story missing from this photo which your entries normally have.

Great setting and light, would be nice also for a version with someone going up instead. But I know the whole point is to be candid and use what's there...

I would be interested to know if the high contrast which hides the subject was intentional.

Magnificent shadow. This reminds me of Nixter's fine work.
