Nice shot, Oliver. I have spent a fair amount of time in a canoe on a few trips to the boundary waters. This image evokes a lot of great memories.

This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (bumped from 9 to 10 with the comment)

Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.

This is one of my 10s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. Such point-of-viewness! Transportative in its power.

2. Perfect, perfect tones.

3. The slight lack of clarity adds to a most artistic, almost dreamlike, presentation.

4. The pseudo-lobulation of the tree and its reflection on the left.

5. The intersection of the paddle with the cross strut echoing refractive distortion, thus resonating with the watery vista.

6. The sense of purpose, the keen vector of the bow.

7. The misty distant horizon.

Lovely stuff.
