Wonderful textures throughout. Old crabby crab looks to have gotten plenty of sun alright!

(Murdok probably ought to know that melanoma is curable if caught early and can always be caught early if not ignored until it's not early anymore; furthermore, millions and millions of people get sunburned without ever getting melanoma, so maybe he ought to turn his PC police instincts over to some other subject)

Nice take on the challenge, the brightness you have chosen allows the eye to settle easily on the crab, but at the same time enough texture remains to tell the story.
