The common southern fiscal shrike, another one of my many coveted indigenous garden birds. This little guy catches insects and lizards and spikes them on the thorns of trees or on barb wire to make eating easier :) A feisty little bird, he chases the Indian Mynahs away (an escapee pest from Asia that attacks and chases my indigenous birds).

This one taken with my very special Vivitar 500mm f/6.3 Mirror Lens. Manual Exposure Manual Focus. Note the donut bokeh.

Good addition to the collection. I tried that lens years ago bought used but too fuzzy. Maybe an earlier incarnation. This is much better though.
