Beautiful built in frame. This makes the photo. It takes it from being a plain nicely focused snapshot at a 5 and turnes it into a beautiful composition with nice depth, grate focus, beautiful snow, well executed photo at a 9. Good job.

I like the use of the wall as a frame. what we see through it, is definetly a landscape, but is also very muted and monochromatic. Okay, its winter, of course, thats what there is, but maybe sharpen the trees, or increase saturation, something to brighten it up. Probably needs more DOF.

Very creative shot. The snow looks so fresh and everything looks pristine and quiet. Good job..

I like how you've used the window to frame the shot, though I can't say I like the pinkness of the scene - caused by a pink filter? Focus seems a little soft around the edge of the window - would prefer more sharpness there.

Nice framing. Focus and lighting look good. Meets the challenge. 7 waltoml.

Nice job of framing. We had our first real snow in twenty years yesterday! Good color on your stone wall.

The trees add a nice touch of symmetry to the photo, and the stone frame adds to the composition nicely. Absence of color in the middle photo seems to contrast well with the earthen tones of the stone frame. This locale must still provide a good photo oppurtunuty during other seasons as well!

I like the composition but there is a rose color cast over the whole pic which I think should have been corrected (yes, I have a fully calibrated monitor).

using the archway is very effective..rough stonework very good contrast for the "soft" snow.

Good use of an archway. Certainly makes the shot alot more interesting.

I like this photograph a lot. Reminds me of our time living in France. Interestingly composed, with good colors.

Good work.

The framing with the wall is very nice. I like that a lot. The view is kind of dulled by the snow actually. The sky is the problem, I think. Weather can really affect a photo. I think that the sky is too white and washed out for my personal preference. I like the little trees in the forground. Focus is nice. Angle and framing/cropping are excelent. Great location. Good luck in the challenge.

Where? I want to move where there has been no "real snow" in my lifetime!!!! I like the view through the archway

Beautiful composition. Shooting through the window has made this shot.

Excellent use of framing. The trees and background are just not clear and distinct enough. I'm not sure if there is anything to be done about that - probably not. I'd like to see this same shot in summer.

Lovely photo - I'm glad you chose to use the wall as a border and didn't add an extra one. The trees also have an almost poetic quality to them - they all look bent the same way on first inspection. Good work.
