This storm built up while I was on a 3 hour drive home one day. I watched and watched as we got closer to each other, on the lookout for a spot to pull over and attempt to capture some of the power of this baby. It seemed to be picking up speed the nearer I got! Finally, just before town, I had this opportunity. I quickly jumped out, grabbed the tripod and managed to get about 15 shots before it came smashing down over me.

The lead up to and taking the shots was fun; driving the rest of the way home in it, not so much.

Hey, cool! Blue! Seriously did not expect that. Had even picked Romulo's shot to go blue. Thanks guys! :D

While I love the processing of the sky and clouds and think they make for a very dramatic and striking effect, I am not a fan of the bottom left of the image with over-saturated / tone mapped shrubbery. I also don't like the halo effect around the silhouettes of trees on the horizon. Did not vote in this challenge, but would have probably given it a 6. Regardless congrats on the blue and fantastically dramatic sky.

I thought you instructed Dodge & The Burnouts to low vote her?

Well then obviously not ALL of you can follow directions properly. Only 3 1's from a team of six people? No wonder why Slippy's cross with you. You guys can't even do one simple job properly. Pffft!

;D

You even smack-talk in your own photo comments, you're a real gamer! Nobody messes with Pam and gets away unscathed! :-D

Front page stuff. great work. Love the storm clouds. Only suggestion would be to try and bring some detail back into those blown highlights, otherwise brilliant. winner.

Well. Okay then. I really don't know what to say. I've typed and deleted my comment over and over. I'll just say this. I have only EVER given 5 10's. This is one of them. The composition absolutely rocks. The road separating the peaceful house as the tempers barrels towards is perfect! Such a poignant take on the saying of the calm before the storm. And the processing. Good gracious, man! I MUST know how you did that sky and clouds. I have not seen something like this in a long, long time. Thank you for this. Really. If this doesn't end up with a Blue, I will be STUNNED. 10 + favourite.

Fury indeed! I love the balance f sun and storm. Such deep yet vibrant colors. The road leading the way is a nice plus. My favorite in the challenge.

Voted earlier coming back to comment.

Fine details captured here - love that you were able to capture the sweep of rain as it falls like a curtain just off to the left of the road. The dirt road acts as a leading line that draws our attention to and back on those brooding heavy clouds above.
