I'd chop a bit off the top and bottom, myself. The busy works for me, because of how insane the environment is, so full of things and distracting. I love the juxtaposition between him and the giant smiley face though, makes it a much more telling portrait than one might initially think.

Hmmm. he sort of gets lost in the background..maybe bring him forward and use a shallow DOF and focus on him
