Light painted. Several images merged using layers and masks.
I know this is the same set up as Bookworm, I just substituted the clock with the box and wine, but I really wanted to try to 'paint the glass'. Happy with the result.

You are getting to be a master at this technique. I love everything you have done here.

Almost the same, but also completely different. With the sharper focus it puts this one in another time and dimension. The light painting worked really well, I think you did a marvellous job on that glass. Beautiful.

[quote=kasaba] Just curious, did you turn the bottle 1/2 way on purpose? If so, why?

Thanks for your comments, yes I did turn the bottle on purpose, I guess I didnt want the label competing with everything else, plus its just a cheap bottle of wine, had it been an old Grange then I probably would have shown it. :)

The palette and lighting technique make this look like an old master trompe-l'oeil painting.

This does look very natural and the glass is lovely. Just curious, did you turn the bottle 1/2 way on purpose? If so, why?

A few changes and you may have something for the wabi sabi challenge :-)

Nice and subtle for light painting. Almost looks ambient from a skylight. Nicely done.

Very nice and I like the idea of the addition of the glass of wine to this set-up. Seems as if you could try it in different positions in the composition - as if someone had been enjoying a read and a glass of wine and had just set it down for a moment. Focus is excellent and I really like the subdued lighting you are getting.

Nicely done. One of your better ones. Lighting glass well is hard. Lighting glass this way is even harder.

Given what you're working on, you might get a copy of "Light, Science and Magic." It's an excellent book, all about how to light. What works, what doesn't, and why. Good book.

I am impressed how the glass came out also. No overly blown out areas at all. Looks very natural.

very nice indeed. I like how you never go over the edge. I wonder if you have a constant light in addition to the light "brush", as otherwise I don't understand this at all.
