I'm so stoked! A top ten in a FS. I've been riding the DPC Meh train for a while, so this is most welcome. Thank you all for your generosity of votes and comments. The rest of this series can be seen here.

I spent the day at the abandoned Linda Vista hospital, with about 100 other photographers and videographers, running around with props, costumes, lights, and tons of equipment, and at least one naked guy. We all managed to stay out of each other's way.

This was just a matter of elbow grease and the shutter on a 2 second delay. I just kept tossing the chiffon until I got a good shot. Must have thrown it about 300 times, and then finished it off by throwing out my back.

These images, the "Photograph Information" Lens, Camera, EXIF etc and the sharing from the togs is also what makes DPC streets ahead of other communities. It's a great series and I hope you can market and sell some work Johanna. You need to pay for the chiropractor ;) WD on TT.

Great shot and a fascinating series. I love the play of light off the walls and flowing fabric. Great job and congrats on the nice finish.

I like the idea of throwing dozens of creative photographers into an abandoned building and see what kind of interesting images emerge.

My favorite of the artier FS entries - love the shape that recalls a dancing woman and the diaphanous, gauzy look of it. The lines of the space are great and so are the green tones. 10 Voted earlier.

Within these walls are the voices of those long past. From time to time their spirits manifest and walk the halls. They are silent - never keening, never shrill. Malicious they are not, they just are a ghost of their former selves.

Great color, clarity and mood in this capture.

This is a new comment series for me, so please bear with me while I find my style!

(Voted earlier)

This is one of my 10s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. Shouts tanguera to me. I like images that have a distinct style and this beautiful indoor light, interesting internal space, floating motif, rich colours has all the hallmarks.

2. Sensational mood - slightly eerie but with undertones of joy too - not an easy thing to pull off.

3. Amazing coloration - it has a richness that belies its fairly limited colour palette.

4. Superb light, superbly captured. This image is sooooo exposure critical and you have nailed it.

5. Composition - leading lines and a great sense of depth - way to use the z axis!

6. Depth of field - it's really important that we are able to see the full depth of your image, this would suggest a small aperture.... but you've frozen the fabric suggesting a decently quick shutter speed - no noise to speak of, so there was loads of natural light meaning those windows are really, really bright - well done on controlling the exposure across the frame or you've illuminated the fabric with a strobe - well done on getting that so well balanced and natural looking.

Overall, one of those images where everything hangs together beautifully. From photograph to art (without compromising the process, practice and craft) of photography.

Should ribbon.
