 I was on a water reservoir tower, 39m up. St. Nikolai church is 92 meters high.
It was a very misty morning, sometimes the sun came through in my back.

If this had been shot from a higher spot it would have maybe won, who cares it's a truly beautiful image, congrats.

I really like this shot with its almost metaphysical luminescence. You certainly have a better view from your water tower than I do from the one in my town! :) Congratulations on TT placement; this should have placed higher.

I get the immediate impression of more than physical, a sort of metaphysical light beacon shining from the top of spire out into the village below, a hulking presence, there whether they want it or not. The toned presentation adds a time frame, an antiqued feel that disorients the viewer, as to time. The border is subtla and nice too.
