This was a really hard one for me to do. It's not that I'm a prude -- If I looked like Judi, I'd probably do shots like this all the time. :)
But I'm not the type that usually elicits thoughts of boudoir photography.
But... this place has made me done some bizarre things in the past, so I might as well add another thing to the list.
Let me tell you, though -- when you're an extremely self conscious 47 year old mom with stretch marks, those trolls votes hit a lot harder than the do on the great blue heron pictures!! I think I'm more cut out for the great blue heron shots. :)
However, there were some very nice comments during the week.
I can't believe I'm finding myself wondering how I'm stacking up against the other two rack shots. Readying the excuse that I made mine more about the buttons, so that I can blame the success or failure on that. :P
What an utterly and totally bizarre week. And regarding the fact that I'm still feeling embarrassed as I write this, you'll be glad to know that you don't have to worry about a nude entry from me. :)

Oh, by the way, I did this quickly while my family was out of the house. My husband offered to help with a reshoot, offering creative input after the kids had gone to sleep -- no matter how long it took. But I decided that I'd stick with what I had. But isn't he thoughtful?? :D

Congrats on a top five showing. One of my higher scores... Oddly enough, I just noticed the little buttons on the sweater, somehow I was distracted ;)
Seriously though, as a photographer/artist, I'm glad DPC has gotten you to step out of your comfort zone. This was tastefully done, well thought out, and appreciated by the people here. You have a great portfolio. Cheers. |
