 Banana bread is my favorite comfort food. This recipe is so easy and simple that I can make it often. Enjoy!

Banana Bread Recipe

3/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup wheat flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
2 slightly beaten egg whites
1 cup mashed bananas (3 medium or 2 large)
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup canola oil or unsweetened apple sauce

Mash bananas
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt
Combine egg whites, banana, sugar, and apple sauce or oil
Add flour mixture to egg white mixture
Stir until moistened
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes
Cool for 10 minutes

You can also add chocolate chips or nuts if you want

I like the banana bread on the board and the plate, but the bowl of apples is yanking my eye away. There's already that nice simple red checked tablecloth to offset and unite the bread, the bowl of apples just doesn't need to be there.
