As soon as I saw this challenge I knew what I was going to do. For some time now I have had this image in my head just waiting for the right challenge to present itself. I had most of my shots taken by the second day and began work in photoshop. Everything seemed to be falling into place, all I had to do now was get the main sunny beach photo, all well and good one would think when you live on the Gold Coast but mother nature had other ideas, it had been grey, windy and overcast all week. But thankfully on the day before rollover the sun was shining and the skys were blue. I must admit I am very happy with what I have done here as Im very much a novice when it comes to photoshop. About 20 layers make up this image, I have never worked with that many before. This is by far the closest I have ever come to a final image looking anything like what I had in mind.

Rather wonderful work for a 'novice' at Photoshop.
Very well done and a pleasure to examine.
There is SO much to enjoy here.

Nicely conceived, visualized, created. Love that merge on the glass of water and the tropical cocktail! So many nice touches and the tones are used very effectively. Top ten for me - voted earlier.

Me too! There's a lot to look at & admire here. It takes my eye from the orange, to the red, straight out into the fresh air & sunshine. The contrast is dramatic, the shoreline looks inviting, the city sky is so amazing it has become my favorite. Like tears, like rain, like water over silk. Such a luminous grey.

Excellent idea, fairly well executed. Only nitpick is the darkness in the beach scene.

Really great concept, very ambitious. I really like the "split" items, although the glass on the left looks really odd and deformed. It took me a while to figure it out. And the woman on the beach is odd somehow. She looks placed there.
