Great finish, pal! Your time-expended is the same as mine, but your finish position is substantially higher :-)

Congratulations on the HM, Chris - thought this would end up near the top. I didn't mind the soft focus on the butt since the head is sharp but I can see where it would have improved the shot slightly, but the idea (as everyone has said) did not suffer for the softness. They say people pick pets that look like them - or is it the pets that pick their people :)

Nah, I simply didn't want to go downstairs again and reshoot. I took one capture and ran with it. Personally I think there should be more focus on the ass also. The only reason I entered was the lack of entries.

Great idea and composition, the perspective obviously makes the shot. I think I would have adjusted the DoF a bit to get the pet entirely in focus, but you perhaps ran out of time for that, or you simply prefer it like that. Either way, you clearly showed that a good idea is really what's important in such challenges, so thanks for that and congrats on the HM!

Top four for me - I like the tension and the focus, squarely on the obstinate pet insect! Well done. Voted earlier.

my top pick in this challenge - good use of depth of field and fun arrangement... while some things are a bit wacky i think it works overall. 9
