So... the biggest problem was that I wanted my husband to walk something, but the first problem is that we just lost our dog Max. I left the leash at the vet. It was too sad bringing it back without Max. :(

Whatever he walks will not have a leash.

Then I couldn't figure out what he should walk. I knew I was going to go by the challenge description and use an inanimate object -- something that wasn't a rock. I was concerned that perhaps people wouldn't read the description. But I thought maybe since it was on the front page (and you didn't have to click on anything to see the rest of the description...) Oh well, half way through the week I already had 3 comments saying that it wasn't a rock.

Ah well. It was much more fun working with a chair!

But it didn't make sense having him walk a chair that was flying -- there had to be a reason that it was flying.

Thus the balloons.

Never, never, never, never, never, never never will I work with balloons in expert editing again. Do you realize how much of a pain it is to select the stupid background around all those strings????? I don't know that I've ever spent that long doing an expert editing challenge -- all because of stupid strings!!

On top of that, my cat kept EATING the stupid strings!! He would actually chew threw the string, eat it, and swallow it.

I spent 3 days cleaning up cat barf with color string in it (and freaking out that it might end up twisted around his intestines, or something.) Looks like it all came out through the top end, though -- so that's good. :)

So each time I looked at the image this week, it just made me cringe.

Please!! No more pet rock challenges! :)

Thanks for all the great comments and votes. :)

Delightfully fresh and quirky - I think you made the balloon strings part harder than it had to be but it sounds as if you got up close and personal with the selection tools and there's always something to be gained from really getting to know a tool :) Congratulations on the ribbon.

Congratulations Wendy! It was a risk to go with something else than rocks (I know that the challenge description allowed for that, but not everyone pays attention), and it works beautifully well. Great job on the balloon strings too!

So that's what your husband looks like! That's a weird idea, to walk a chair. Really weird. I kinda like it. Moonshadows, balloons, and chairs you need to walk. Wow. I really do like the idea. Congratulations. No, no, I'm typing just fine, nothing weird, no Lutheran juices or anything like that.

Clever idea and nicely done. I love the colors here, the feel of a spring day and perfect chair-flying weather.

Love the idea. And the colors and editing is a bit quirky, but somehow lacks depth.

dont see it as a rock(not even a rocking chair!), but i like the image.

re-visited score because someone pointed out the pet rock contest is not just a pet rock contest in the forums, and then someone else in my pm. I noted this on other pictures earlier-missed this one

well executed.

I'd like to see a better composition maybe more negative space in front of the man. minor complaint though. 10

Makes me think this could be Coley, but it's a fun shot and well-pulled-off PhotoChop. Good work! 8

Fabulous!

I love it all!

Perhaps a tad bit too much light on his face and arm (to match the chair's lighting)? I love the neg space.
